Lovin' the Lady Rams

Happy New Year!  This past year was a pretty quiet one on the charity homefront due to my dads cancer, but we are so glad to be back into the swing of things!!!

Recently, we filled an order of 60 keychains to be given to Vietnam and Afghanistan Veterans on Veteran's Day.  Thank you David Corp for your huge order.  The money raised was donated to the Long Beach Millikan HS, Lady Rams Basketball team (that's my team).  Stay tuned for our next fundraiser!

Clean Water for Cambodia

"Lemons of Love" Support Our Troops

Please come support our American Troops in Iraq.  I will have a lemonade stand and bake sale on October 5th in Bixby Knolls (on Atlantic Ave. between San Antonio and Bixby).  Come join us for some First Friday fun and bring a couple of bucks to donate.  "Lemons of Love" will be using ALL donations to send care packages to 6 male soldiers and 4 female soldiers belonging to a unit stationed in Iraq.  So clean out your pocket change, call a friend to join us and we will see you there!  Be the Light, Be the Change!!!

"Lemons of Love" LBRM Backpack Drive

Here is the "fruit" of the girls labor.  After Jessie Rae and Amber raised $225 to purchase 10 backpacks and supplies they got to go shopping!  Here are a few pics of the girls while they were stuffing the backpacks and delivering them to the Samaritan House.  We want to take the time to thank all of our family and friends who donated the time and money to make this cause happen.  You're the BESTEST!!!

LBRM Backpack Drive

My best friend and I made lemonade, cupcakes, and brownies for our "Lemons of Love" fundraiser.  Guess what?  We raised $225 to buy backpacks for underpriveleged children!  Now the fun part begins - SHOPPING!!!  This week we all get to go buy the backpacks and the supplies needed for the new school year.  I'm so excited!  It's not to late to do your part...see the link below to support LBRM:

YesWeServe

My mom and I are making bracelets, bookmarks, and earrings today for the upcoming YesWeServe Craft Day.  YesWeServe is a "Christian Ministry which seeks to impact and enrich the lives of children and others through teaching, compassionate care and sustainable development."  YesWeServe supports communities in Mexicali, Ghana, and India.  In Long Beach YesWeServe runs a program called S.T.A.R.T.S. (Soaring To Achieve, Reading To Succeed).  This is an after school program that focuses on academics, art, sports and nutrition.  Please come and help us support this amazing charity by purchasing some of our creations.  All of my work is priced between $1.00 - $3.00.  We often spend more than that on a bottle of water!  Spend it here and together we can help to change the lives of many - one child at a time!  BE THE LIGHT, BE THE CHANGE!!!
